Below are some comments received after the first year's ID course, from participants: I thought the lessons (and photos) very interesting
and especially enjoyed the personal comments about individual bird species.
I printed the lessons and intend going back when I identify each bird
in the field and reading the particulars about same. It was definitely
worth the small expense, time and effort it took to complete the course. I thoroughly enjoyed this course. Jim Stevenson
has a wonderful way of presenting valuable and interesting information
that truly makes it a joy to learn. His lessons are condensed into an
easy to follow daily format that provide the most information in a limited
space. I was surprised to discover how much I've learned! I would personally
recommend this course to anyone interested in exploring the world of
birds." This is a fabulous course, especially for
people who have a passion for birding but not enough time to devote
to it. The daily lessons are informative and often humorous (though
eliciting a groan as often as a chuckle). It was certainly well worth
the nominal fee. The worst part was when it was over! The online birding course is just a wonderful
daily dose of our favorite friends especially for the busy person that
WANTS to be a birder but does not get to do it as often as one would
like...it's short, interesting, has pictures, and comes replete with
Stevenson's humorous pen. If you want to learn as much as you can
about birds and the environment, this is probably the best investment
of your time and money you can make. The lessons are thorough, informative,
interesting - and entertaining, to boot. Maggie Petsch, Galveston, TX.
Jim's on-line birding course has been a treasure-trove of information
about birds and birding. I am grateful to have been a part of this learning
experience and look forward to future opportunities. I am an avid beginner to bird watching and
the online course provided me
