Galveston Bay's  first nature newspaper, "GULLS n HERONS", is free and easy to obtain. The paper is the inspiration of The Galveston Ornithological Society, with the goal of promoting birds in particular, but including all of the fauna and natural world in our area Informative and instructive articles on nature, such as bird watching, reptiles, fishing, camping, etc., will be included in all issues, and it  includes color pictures of our area’s creatures.

"GULLS n HERONS" has now increased its circulation as far north as Austin and Conroe, and is now all along the Gulf Coast to North Florida.

With articles written by Jim Stevenson, who holds a Master’s Degree in biology education and  years of experience in the Bay area, readers can have answered many of the questions they have been considering regarding the island’s fauna.

The Galveston Ornithological Society's activities, which are open to the public, such as field trips and volunteer opportunities, can be found within its pages.

"GULLS n HERONS"  is available at many hotels, grocery stores, convenience stores, bait camps and other outlets in the entire Bay area. Once you have read your first issue, please feel free to let us know what you thought of it  - we'd love to hear from you!  Remember to click on the links above to read already issued and current newspapers.  The Distribution List provides excellent birding locations in the Houston/Galveston area and click to download the link to the PDF file.
